Only on paper. In reality, the authors of the bill wrote that Trump and Bondi get to decide what to release and can withhold as much of the documents as they want under the guise of “national security.” It was just more kayfabe.

The trove has been leaking like a sieve over the last few months. I’m not sure what else people are expecting to see at this point.

There’s this bizarre insistence that one more big scandal will be the final straw. And we’ve been playing this game since Hillary released “Grab’em by the pussy”.

    Petty, childish, juvenile, mean, pathetic.

Oh don’t worry, a big chunk of the likely Democrat voter population will make sure they lose.

Fixing the plaques is easy and they’d do that. It’s funny that people criticize Trump for using the presidency for revenge but then demand that Democrats do the same thing.

It’s funny how your slip is showing over and over. We have literal Russians in our governments and people like you clap. GFY and go send some flowers to Trump and the rest of the GOP who in many cases would have had fusillade treatment a long time ago. There are crimes more than worthy of that.

And we have all of this because Obama made fun of Trump at some big presser, makes you think, right?

Before that, Trump was a Democrat, mocking Republicans, playing golf with Bill, and endorsing Hillary for senate.

Just imagine who the bankers have selected as our future candidates! Remember when the Bush presidency was the worst ever?

He did get roasted, and it didn’t help, but don’t kid yourself that it was the catalyst, he flipped a couple years before that happened. I read that same story, and it was just an fluff piece for the media.

      https://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/donald-trump-was-once-a-registered-democrat-and-party-donor-why-did-he-jump-ship/wj85mj5yq

He’s changed affiliations 5 times now

Before he ran, his investments were petering out. He owed a substantial amount of money to multiple places. (notably a couple of billion to Deutsche Bank) His contributions to whatever party he was sucking up to were in the couple of thousand-dollar range.

He registered Republican near the end of Reagan’s run. He flipped to Independent in the middle of Clinton’s presidency. He switched to the Democrats when Bush took office. He flipped to republican the year Obama got in, even though the roast switch* was two years before the roast in question.

The Republicans knew that once Obama got in, they could weaponize race and he turned out to be the face they were looking for to empower the right extremists and moderates.

Putin put him where he is.

If anything, Trump put Putin where he is. But, more realistically, it was the Clinton CIA / State Department that elevated Putin, with Trump simply operating as a bag man.

Trump knew he needed an enemy if he wanted his populism to take hold, Obama was the obvious choice, it wasn’t really anything Obama did. That he’s black is just icing on the cake, let him spin populism and racism together into one tapestry of bullshit.

Well, we had it because Hillary positioned Trump as a cat’s paw within the Republican Primary, hoping he’d be able to soften up Jeb and Cruz in the primary, while she finished them off at the general election.

Before that, Trump was a Democrat, mocking Republicans, playing golf with Bill, and endorsing Hillary for senate.

Can’t forget how many Democrats showed up in the Epstein emails, texts, and flight logs. Dude was giving Larry Summers “how to cheat on your wife” advice.

the issue with maga recognizing it is they relish it. that’s what they’re here for. they think this is what it means to hold the elite accountable: sending mean tweets, being a petty bitch, lashing out omnidirectionally.

where trump is losing people, and i’m starting to really see it in my community, is his claims that america has never been more affordable than it is today. you can lie about why you’re going to war and the dangers posed by people racists don’t talk to, but you can’t lie about the price of bread. you can’t hide that. everyone can tell if the cost of living is getting better or worse. they can tell because we’re all living it

Damnatio Memoriae as the Romans called, the removal of a person not just from life but also memory. Though I say we keep his actions and consequences recorded, just remove his personhood and likeness. Every picture and video of him should just be mess of static and fucked but understandable audio. Things not related to his presidency should be destroyed in their entirety.

That sounds pretty difficult to do in the modern world.

In contrast, I like the idea that before he croaks he could know that his name will be cursed and his grave pissed upon for generations.

The argument I could see is that a person’s personhood is relevant to their actions, but Trump doesnt really fall into that category in my opinion. Hes more a void of a person existing on base impulse and desire further amplified by his narcissism. Seriously is there anything Trump actually like? And not in a way that could be explained by scratching his base impulses at any given time?

I’ve always been disturbed by the descriptions of his inability to enjoy humor and music. Those are like core to humanity, in my estimation.

I’ve known at least one legitimate dangerous psychopath, knew him quite well. He had a rich (if dark) sense of humor and legitimately interesting, opinionated taste in music. And he was the kind of person it was unsafe to be near if he was merely bored (to say nothing of angry/frustrated or worse), and you were sufficiently weaker and isolated (I never was, to be clear). He also was barely literate and mischaracterized by lots of people as profoundly unintelligent.

I’ve known other interesting individuals damaged in different unrecoverable ways, and everyone I’ve known (that remains able to interact even somewhat smoothly with others at least) has those core human pieces intact.

Trump is truly a bizarre human being, and not in one single way I can call positive. I wonder if there are others in history who were notably “deaf” to the emotional meanings of music and humor (minds structurally incapable of empathy, I’m guessing) yet still adept at social interactions and even possessing a strange almost bewitching quality among the general populace.

Even cult leaders, known for that latter quality and also lack of empathy, they tend to understand music and humor and even use them for effect in their abuses. Trump alllllmost gets there with humor, but not quite, to him it seems like just a way of attacking people that is somehow more publicly tolerated, he doesn’t ever seem to find it funny himself - just another weapon/tool to use. Weird fuckin brain on this guy (very weirdly damaged/malformed, I suspect).

Honestly I don’t think Trump ever moved past being 3 or 4 on an internal level, his actions make sense if you consider that he never developed internalized functions for morality, intellectualism, or even an internal code. He may very well still be at the point where the only reason he knows not to touch a hot stove is because he got physically hurt by it because he can’t internally run the calculations that fire hot. Or at least that’s what makes sense to me, he’s basically a lot like a small child only reacting to the world.

the democrats would never run anyone who had the balls to do that. it would be too ‘mean’.

but if such a candidate did get to run, they’d probably be incredibly popular.
