This is a small cross-over study across five weeks funded by the egg industry, and this article is a press release by the university who are incentivized to hype their research. It’s funny to lampshade confirmation bias and all, but I want to pull away that layer of irony and say that this “great, now I don’t have to change anything I think” attitude is concerning for health.
Sure my comment wasn’t particularly serious and it’s good to be sceptical. This finding isn’t all that surprising though given the other research on dietary cholesterol or at least that’s my understanding. Please correct me though. Still it sounds like you’re right that this one study isn’t particularly compelling by itself.
