The Bertone Ramarro is an Italian concept car designed and built by Bertone and based on the Chevrolet Corvette (C4). It debuted in 1984 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The name “ramarro” comes from the Italian word for “green lizard”.

I feel like this design was way ahead of it’s time. It looks futuristic even now, 40 years later. It’s a shame that it remains just a concept.

      It was based on the Corvette, so that makes sense seeing as the Trans Am was essentially just a cheaper version of the Corvette, both being produced by GM.

        Yeah I had a family member that owned one years back. Loved the car, but had an issue with the spoiler, the way it was weighted, or if you had some friend that wasnt thinking and they shut the truck by the spoiler, it would slowly break the seal around where it connected to the trunk. Not really noticeable to the eye, but it starts allowing moisture to get in, and starts rusting from the inside around the base of the spoiler.
