Starmer is just trying to be Farage light, so it’s no wonder nobody likes him.
BakerBagel@midwest.socialto UK Politics@feddit.uk•Reform Voters Prefer Corbyn to Starmer on Almost Every Metric, New Polling Shows | Novara Media71·3 days agoNo, but it is indicative of what leftists have been trying to tell liberals for the last 12 years. The current system is hurting working people more than any point since WW2, and everyone with eyes can see it. The fascists are telling people that the system is fucked because of immigrants, the left is telling people that it’s the capitalist class that is hording all the wealth, while the liberals are saying that everything is working as intended. Labour is going through the same issue that every other liberal party across the west is dealing with. No one trusts them because they are trying to implement rainbow capitalism and slap a fresh coat of paint over the institutional rot that is destroying people’s lives rather than make fundamental changes to society.
Jezzer wanted to make the necessary changes to improve life for working Brits, and Labour dragged him over the coals for it. Look at Scunthorpe for example. Starmwr is going on about some liberal nonsense about finding an appropriate buyer for the steel plant, while Farage is calling for the facility to be nationalized. One of those options ensures that people in a critical industry have a job, and it isn’t the option the Prime Minister is advocating for

It would reduce loads if the algal blooms that devastae Lake Erie. Some natural wetlands and beavers would mitigate ao much of that, but the farmers around here are completely opposed to any such ideas
Oxie is a great slur, just ask the Irish.
I’m saying the point of the recipe being “one fan of this” or “package of that” is conscience so that you don’t have to measure out a bunch of different ingredients. If you are making 3 meals for 5 people every day, it’s a lifesaver to just crack open two cans into a bowl, a package of something else, and a stick of melted butter and call it a day.
BakerBagel@midwest.socialtoMicroblog Memes@lemmy.world•Silver lining: Everest gets a bit taller with every dump left behind.English9·6 days agoYou lnow how many people have climbed, you know the average weight of a human dookie, and you know how many times people ahit in average each day. You know that no one is bringing those dookies down, so you have a rough idea of how much shit is on the mountain.
I have a tiny 5ft fridge in a 15sq ft kitchen. I barely have enough space in my frodge for my essentials, so what am i supposed to do with an ounce of something that came in a can? I’ll have to buy another can of it, which will now leave me with 2 ounces the next time. Home cookbooks call for ingredients to be used in the quantities you buy them in, because no one cares how much cream of mushroom you put in your casserole, or if you used 450g of green beans vs 700. I’m not wasting a storage container or valuable food space on a small amount of leftover ingredients that could have just gone into my dinner without anyone noticing. That seems much better than just letting it sit in my fridge for 2 weeks before being theown away
So what’s your plan to do with the remainder of the can if you don’t use the full thing? Your casserole will be fine if you just do the whole can
Did you plan on only using 4/5 of the can of whatever if the weight didn’t match up? What the hell am i gonna do with an ounce of evaporated milk?
