If we’re going to effectively fight Trump and the rise of fascism, we have to act together, and show up in numbers!

Check the website map to see events happening near you: https://goodtroubleliveson.org/#attend

You don’t need to sign up there or give any information, in fact, it’s better if you don’t. Just find the address, grab some snacks and water, a sign if you can make one, and show up.

If you have a printer, bring some union pamphlets to hand out and tell people about the General Strike. Spread the word if you can, share this image, and let’s stand up together in solidarity and make some Good Trouble!

This one doesn’t feel as big or well-organized as No Kings. I didn’t even find info for the one in my area until today. And it’s a weekday, which generally means lower attendance. But, I’ll still go.

Thanks. I have had trouble finding out these and im actively looking. Going to do my local one as I don’t want to go downtown on a weekday evening.

Well, that makes more sense. I still don’t think it’s a good name for something that should be a bit more… pointed?

I do agree that it’s less eye grabbing or punchy compared to the previous ‘No Kings’ protest, which was immediately understandable in comparison.

I was down to keep going with that no kings thing. I wonder how much merchandise corporations will be selling next year for no Kings Day. Do you think target will have a T-shirt? ;-)

It’s been a new name for each one, I guess to appeal to different groups for different problems. The ‘Hands Off!’ one for stopping the dismantling of Social Security did succeed in getting massive attendance from older people, so it seems to be working.

That’s pretty standard right-wing propaganda against the protests, and they’ve been making that claim since they started. It’s intended for their base so they can easily dismiss how popular the protests have been by making it appear like a sham or democrat conspiracy, when in (their warped) reality, Trump is super popular so the only way these protest happen is if people are paid to show up.

They’ve made similar propaganda to explain the popularity and crowd sizes of Bernie’s Anti Oligarchy rallies.

I’d seen it before, but this was the first time I actually saw a source. Just figured I’d share the info so people would at least know what the media was talking about during an interviews and not be taken by surprise or say something reactionary. Better to have the info and not need it than to need it and not have it.
