Artificial sugar still causes an insulin response. Better stick with the vinegared lead.

Artificial sugar also triggers hunger. That’s why you often see people with a diet Coke in one hand and a Snickers bar in their other hand.

fwiw I found that the caffiene in diet sodas was the cause of Xtra hunger. Switching to decaf soda made a huge difference.

that has to be specifically coca cola, right? i don’t know of any other soda with caffeine in it, and even the amount in coke is tiny compared to something like coffee

Almost all colas and cola-adjacent drinks that I’m aware of have caffeine in them. Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Diet Coke, Pepsi Zero, Mountain Dew, etc. etc. The “clear” sodas usually do not - Sprite, 7-up - and usually ‘fruit flavored’ drinks, like Fanta do not.

right, so i just find it a bit weird to say “sodas” when it’s a tiny minority of sodas that have caffeine
