i think a lot of people simply couldn’t have imagined computers back in 1900. that is simply because computers are a rapid qualitative progress instead of just a quantitative one.

it’s the vehicle of nostalgia hitting the wall between the past and the future
gandalf_der_12te@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto 196@lemmy.blahaj.zone•Just an old thought-provoking question.English3·4 days agoI drink neither. I’ve become vegetarian in these last few years. I don’t really need blood, but it helps. but i don’t really need it these days.
pie is fruit bread, and who could hate that?!
you guys get chest-pain from eating eggs?
i can attest that i put just as much dried herbs in my food as on this picture, and it’s delicious :D
on top of that, i only have 2 plates, so if they’re both in the dishwasher, i have a problem. that might be a me-thing though
can i be a spoon too 🥺🥺🥺🥺
That’s the awkward moment that i would like to just put my legs on their lap, but then i remember that the government released laws against sexual harassment and i don’t know how to put my emotions into words to ask a question.
gandalf_der_12te@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Femcel Memes@lemmy.blahaj.zone•women are wonderfulEnglish2·14 days agoI think that many men turn out to be assholes because they have to compete for attention their whole life. Nobody loves them or respects them just for who they are; they constantly have to do something exciting to get attention at all. Women are loved just because they’re lovable. As a consequence, they don’t need to do the crazy shit that men have to do to get attention.
As a consequence, you see the most daring/desperate men develop the craziest of tricks to get any attention at all, which in turn is often annoying and blatantly being an asshole. Women don’t do that because they don’t have to do that. A woman doesn’t need to put “food on the table” to be worth something. Women have intrinsic value. Men only have value through their usefulness.
At least that’s my observation.
also i consider the dark ages were as important for european development, as you leave a good wine in the cellar or a dough in the fridge for a long time for it to mature and develop a special flavor.
