That is kind of a weak argument. I think lovecraft’s work is a decent read, and he is influential and referenced. Still, I am not saying we should adopt his work view. JK Rowing is similar. Her books got lots of kids interested in reading and there is a good message about who you grow up to be. Again, not saying we should adopt her world views. You can pirate their works or find them second hand.

This really sucks. I bought a Pixel 7 for the ROMs, GrapheneOS to be specific, so this puts me in an awkward spot. Wish I could have myself a Fair Phone and a Framework laptop.

I am not sure who this guy is, or why we aren’t more open to separating the work from the artist; seems to be a kind of ad hominem. If you don’t want to give them money for the work you can still buy second hand or just pirate.

For better or worse the dems is where the small progressive wing we have lives. Your bad attitude about voting is what got us the republican super majority and so many of our hard fought battles rolled back so quickly. None voting is still the larges block going back decades, so no this has not already been tried.

Ive said before. If you are in a red state, blue no matter who is the best you can do. That should slow down the erosion of your rights and give more time to organize. If you are in a blue state you need to show up to primaries to grow the progressive wing. Tankies are unwilling to do either; hence they are un-serious.

I’d ammend to say vote blue in red states. Bote progressive in blue states.

True, even Milton Friedman (barf) said we should be thankful if someone wants to subsides our lives. Besides these market extremists say all government intervention is bound to fail, so they should have nothing to fear letting the BYDs in. The socialist subsidy of BYD will collapse and we don’t want the government distorting our market either.

This isn’t really my personal take, but i like using their own logic to reach a conclusion they will hate.
