I hate this, I really want something great that has nothing more than surface level and no bigger picture or meaning and the best I got is pong

Because vertical pong would feel too much like breakout?

After thinking about it, I’m pretty sure it’s because the players will be sitting side to side, and would therefore find it easier to immediately associate with their paddle.

But now consider, that player one is on the left or west side of the play field while player two is on the right or east side. And when was Pong developed? During the cold war by western company Atari.

It’s a clear commentary that the west is number one.

The slowly accelerating ‘ball’ being c{mmentary about the unsustainability of conflict and how, eventually, something must break in even the coldest war.

It’s not about fear it’s about being annoyed that great art(paintings, books, games and movies) can’t exist without being tainted let’s say or humans need to project meaning onto it
