As long as the put in on the street and don’t enroach on pedestrian space for a solution the cars caused.
Speaking of which, the barrier should definitely be put in a place where they protect pedestrians too. Imagine getting hit by a speeding car, only to be hauled into a nearly house and be crushed against it.
