US House Democrats joining Republicans to denounce socialism, despite GOP’s loose use of the term to attack a variety of social welfare programs.
Where do we find the list of who voted for/against it so I know the tone I should take when I call their office?
I am increasingly happy to see that my district’s representative is consistently on the right side of this stupid bullshit. I wish I could say the same for other reps in the state.

“right” meaning “correct”, or ideology?
Definitely the correct (left) side. :)
My fucking rep voted for it. He’s getting a nastygram come Monday.
Mone didn’t, he’ll get a thankyougram come Monday

Cool.
Now, now have the house denounce fascism and white supremacy.
That sounds… divisive.

As expected, my DINO is on the list. Fucking loser is worthless. I never hear about him doing anything, until it’s some MAGA-appeasing bullshit like this.
I remember being really excited about Bill Foster winning originally. I thought having a scientist in government would be a big win. Turns out scientists can also be tools.
This sort of shit is why Mamdani and Ocasio-Cortez defending Jeffries is ridiculous.
Yep, he and Schmuck Schumer have to go. Their lack of urgency in addressing MAGA is 50% responsible for Trump’s second term.
Take this as a list of cowards who need to be ousted
Some of the most irony-poisoned bullshit I’ve ever heard, given all the socialism that businesses are benefiting from https://www.cato.org/policy-analysis/corporate-welfare-federal-budget-0
The MAGA opposition to “Socialism” only extends to Democrats. Sociopathic Oligarchs will continue to receive their re-distribution of wealth, but don’t expect your $2000 “Tariff Rebate.”
That is too far a disconnect. Is not bailing out banks and car companies a form of socialism? Are biological people even considered anymore? People are social animals. By extension, social endeavors should be at the top of the list. Let’s not get into the specific definitions of “political” socialism to muddy the waters. It’s all people all the time.
These people talking about the “horrors” of socialism are also clamoring to pay companies to build data centers in their districts.
1: no
2: no
3: yes
4: preach
5: socialism is the workers owning the means of production, not the government doing stuff
6: true
If only we had someone who had all of the answers, then we’d be okay.
well, i asked the other day who the other democrats were that would have caved during the shutdown that need to be primaried. Now I know.
Those 86 still be primaried by crowd-funded progressive challengers.
The others will be primaried by corporate AIPACrats with several orders of magnitude more campaign funding.
a distraction BIll for the mess that caused the shutdown to end. pretty much shows which ones are AIPAC funded too. DNC still chasing the ever elusive commie hating magat voting base.
Most Democrats have their fingers in the air trying to figure out what to say to appeal to the largest number of their constituents.
Do their constituents like socialism? Are they scared of it? What will make you like me more?
They somehow still haven’t figured out that what a lot of people really want is someone to actually lead.
I get it. In one sense listening to your voters is good. But you don’t have to be so desperate about it, and you’ve gotta try to do what’s best for your people without checking to see exactly how much they might like it at every turn.
More Democrats should have called this out for the bullshit it is.
They don’t FEAR us enough. We need to change that perception.
Both of the ones from my state are from moderate conservative districts. Completely unsurprising that they won’t stick their necks out for something entirely symbolic. Though I don’t get why they can’t just abstain from a silly vote.
