From poached to panfried, when it comes to eggs, it’s all sunny side up, as new research confirms that this breakfast favourite won’t crack your cholesterol.

If you’re especially interested in your cholesterol, plant-based diets are “associated with decreased total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL), and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL)”. Not a small cross-over study financed by the “Egg Nutrition Center” but a systematic review and meta-analysis from dozens of studies – along with the obvious fact that reducing saturated fat intake like a plant-based diet almost inherently does would positively impact these levels.

Such diets have no effect on physical performance except that they may moderately benefit aerobic performance.
