A reddit comment by a deleted account. It says: “Mr. Shapiro, what are your thoughts on women’s rights to have an abortion?”

Ben: “WELL, that’s a very interesting QUESTION, SIR. Before I get started, did you know that my WIFE is a DOCTOR?”

Reporter: “…Mr. Shapiro, that’s- not-”

Ben: “I didn’t think so, LEFTIST. Now back to your question- 'should women be allowed to MURDER and SHOOT innocent BABIES and CHILDREN?”

Reporter: “Sir, that’s not what my orig-”

Ben: “OBVIOUSLY not. Now according to PragerU UNIVERSITY, there once was a FARMER who had a DOG, and Bingo was his name-o. Do you know how to spell it?”

Reporter: (silence)

Ben: “B-I-N-G-O. And Bingo was his name-o.”

(Stares reporter in the eye; has not blinked since the asked question)

“B, I, N G O, B, I, N G O, B, I, N G O, And Bingo was his name-o.”

Reporter: (Visibly taken aback) “Mr. Shapiro, this is ridiculo-”

His actual favourite method is to just go “let’s say I’m right and you’re wrong, well then I’m right”

I’m not even kidding, someone once pointed out statistics that said that making abortion illegal doesn’t reduce the number of abortions, it just makes them more dangerous. And he actually responded with: “Let’s say you have 1000 abortions, and when you make it illegal, you have 100, but more dangerous. We would still be saving 900 lives, so it’s worth making it illegal”.

The beauty is that you can use that for literally everything, you create an imaginary world where you’re right, proclaim it real and voilà.

It’s the gush gallop, when those kind of intellectually dishonest assholes find themselves in a bad position, they start throwing shit out rapid fire, and then they go “so really, we’re both right, but actually you’re wrong”

You can’t refute the facts, because they’re not real. If you try to nail them down on one, they’ll concede an infinite amount of points and make new ones

The only way to win is to steal the momentum and nail them on questions they can’t answer on camera, then humiliate them

Which is no kind of way to exchange ideas, but that’s not what they’re there for

it’s genuinely psychological horror that’s being displayed in our current timeline.

the fact that everyone (not the literal everyone, but generally speaking) is experiencing some kind of mental illness, alongside with the echochambers that some seemingly can’t escape, the mass hysteria that’s quite literally destroying not only the social atmosphere of the world, but also destroying the message for any hope there could be for a peaceful world.

It’s a genuine piece of (could be fictional) horror, Far Cry 5 did a great job at depicting this sort of lunacy (as far as my media is capable of comparison) probably super irrelevant to compare the two, but it’s weird how even with media like that, and the history that is easily accessible to study, that we somehow manage to keep falling into the same loop of degeneracy.

I say this speaking from the view of American society, from what i can see so far, it’s also starting to spread into europe as well, maybe it’s been here this whole time, and we’re all experiencing another world war like moment, who knows. I think it’s safe to say that it’s not really such a coincedence that the world became (even more so) divided than it ever was in such short notice since the pandemic hit, this degeneration is deliberate, manufactured.

And that’s even another thing in our current history, the pandemic, it may have seemed short lived in hindsight, I mean it happened 5 years ago, but it’s a piece of history that should be written about just the same as the dust bowl, the many famines across the world, the plague, but we seem to be so overwhelmed by our media, and our surroundings that we are ultimately bombarded with a strategic flow of information meant to demean us and stop us from even trying to think there could be any chance for a better world at all. I know it doesn’t work on everyone, it hasn’t for a while but lately it’s been getting to me

It’s surreal to analyze this now, just as it was to experience it, but i find it a genuine horror. Like this is fiction, it SHOULD be fiction, but it’s not because we are born dumb and our conscious reality is full of manmade ideas that turn us psychotic one way or another.

Although maybe i’m just being dramatic about it all, who knows, i could wake up one day and suddenly the tides turn like a flip of a switch, but i guess that’s a bit too ambitious of a thought now is it? Hah, maybe dramatic doesn’t cut it at all, i could just be a dirty cynic, but something about our way of existence just isn’t right, how did we accept this way of life?

I tell myself “through silence of course” but then i hear the voices of the people speak, it’s visible, the opinions are out there, the pushback has great velocity. So where is the progress? It’s a self answering question to people who’ve been critics and activists and the such, “it’s a constant struggle.”

That i think is the message of life that we may have to cope with. Since the pandoras box of war was left open, it’s something that will define (at least this current era) of our human existence, the era of struggle. The fucked up part? We aren’t even a type 1 civilization yet.

but we shouldn’t let that stop us, there’s a silent part to the quote above.

“It’s a constant struggle, you can’t measure progress the same way you measure distance travelled, it’s progress in the sense of a chess game, sometimes you make great moves that set you up for a win, sometimes, you make moves that set you up for loss. But what matters is what you learn from it, and the results of the final product.”

sorry if this becomes copypasta content, maybe i sound corny trying to explain it all, but there’s no other way i can describe life right now other than comical. I think it’s kind of comical… but maybe a good laugh is what i need most right now, join me.

What a loooong ass text :D

But yes, I feel this horror you describe. It’s like realizing the person you depend on is a lunatic but you can’t escape.

What purpose is the medium of the internet if not meant for the storing of large amounts of information? I appreciate you read my text, i know not many would, i don’t blame anyone for not wanting to, time is precious in such a limited vessel.

I think this post just kind of describes it perfectly well alongside this comment, i don’t mean to be condescending to those who literally cannot help their psyche, but it’s like walking down the halls of a psych ward.

You see the true insanity hidden beneath the familiarity of the kind human shape and flesh, and it scares you because, you’re human too. It’s like having to watch a loved one forget you, you know they aren’t going to last long, it’s getting close to the end stage, and you can’t to anything about it but watch them go delusional to death, you realize how fragile this existence is, how insane it is to think we’re still alive after harming ourselves for so long.

Really, you can compare the current reality to a lot of negative things, i could see how you can bring addiction into this too, the desperation for something that harmful to not only you, but the others around you, it turns you crazy in the process, but when you’re in it, you think everything is fine, the way it should be.

Sorry, maybe i talk too much when it comes to these kinds of topics, and maybe i tend not to be so appropriate in how i approach these issues, but it’s important to remember what we’re living through is history right now, and we shouldn’t let it go without documentation, who knows what could happen in a few years from now, it would be good to have something for future generations to learn from, and something to inspire them to make the world a better place.

All these distractions, this propoganda, the war, it’s not going to help us learn, to help us do, and help us be. What we’re doing now to fight it is barely a false prayer to god in a famine produced by a king, “stop” means nothing to an abuser.

just keep everyone you love safe, especially yourself, dear reader. <3

It’s refreshing to see someone venting like this, using paragraphs, if this was just a wall of text I probably would not read it.

At the same time, I am unfortunately always looking for “Sure! Here is the updated text about such and such…”

Reminds me of a Charlie Kirk video where a student said to him that there are statistics which provide a correlative link between abortion access and low crime; Kirk immediately goes on the offensive and says “WhO hAs MoRe aBorTioNs ThaN AnyOneE? BLAACK PEOEOPLEEE!!! UR A RACISST!!!”, and his audience ate it up and clapped for him like a gang of excited seals. The strategy is always to derail the current conversation to one you prepared talking points for.
