The new Liberal leader, Sussan Ley, has said a Liberal party is needed that “respects modern Australia, that reflects modern Australia, and that represents modern Australia. And we have to meet the people where they are.”

I’m guessing by that they she means ‘rich people’.
Politics as a career, with the cushy payoff jobs after, seems to be suboptimal.
But only for the Commonwealth, not for the politicians.
