Sure it does. That’s the way that Canada and Mexico are planning anyways. We just need a bit of runway to unwind generations of trade.

Sure. I just make sure I pirate it all now.
Canadian here- don’t get us wrong, boycott aside you are more than welcome to visit and we will be kind and gracious to you when you arrive. Spending money in Canada is our favourite way for you to express your solidarity.
Canada first, rest of the world second, US never.
Superman’s an immigrant because the parents of both his creators were immigrants?
Joe Schuster is Canadian. It’s not just his parents. They moved to the US when he was 10.
Tell me you haven’t been to Mexico without telling me you haven’t been to Mexico.
I would presume it’s because they’re low in sugar. Due to exploding diabetes rates, Mexico has been making a concerted effort in the last few years to stem the consumption of sugary foods, drinks and snacks, particularly amongst kids. You can’t have a cartoon mascot on a box of cereal, for example. They put big stickers over Tony the Tiger before changing the packaging completely. And the cost of snack foods has skyrocketed, making it largely unaffordable for lots of Mexican families. A bag of chips there costs more than it does in North America.
My guess is that this is part of that effort.
I’m trying to figure out Trump’s game here. We’ve been negotiating on trade and security and we backed off on the DST. What’s the benefit of Trump antagonizing us? Is he trying to push Carney to get him to lose his cool?
Carney’s response was predictable and measured. One gets the sense that that is what peeves Trump most of all. But Carney is wisely trying to buy Canada as much time as possible to get our shit together with national projects and new trade deals elsewhere.
In my heart, I hope all of this is in anticipation of a massive trade counteroffensive that includes the largest of fuck yous possible as we skid out of the driveway.
You forgot about the export excise tax on potash and oil.
Yeah, but the snacks are great. But I miss the pre-covid era of soup and Cookies by George.
Your error is thinking that this sort of thinking is ubiquitous outside of the cities, despite how they vote. I’m a 5th generation Albertan that grew up in rural Alberta, and most of my rural cousins and their families aren’t wired this way. A few are. But of the hundreds of family members I have in this province, I can think of only a handful that would vote for seperation.
lol. Pickles do seem to have that effect on some. I have a friend that has a shirt that says that ‘Pickles are just cucumbers soaked in evil’.
Exactly. It’s not like google is the only indexer out there. And if this cuts into their search dominance, so much the better.
What doesn’t get undone is lung damage.
Carney should have never cancelled it. He should have paused it.
Not to mention that McD’s discontinued the Super Size option.
Pour it in an empty jar. let it cool and then put it in the fridge. It keeps nearly indefinitely.
When you have kids.
