Staying in and having to make lifestyle changes to have enough money to pay back the debts I accrued while drinking (whoops) has meant that I have what feels like way too much free time.

I’m working out in my flat often. I’m still weak and skinny but I’m hooked on the feeling. 😅

However, the fact that you are experiencing this on a program meant for learning might actually be able to give you some solace; the people using chatbots to pass will not have learnt anything, and will find things tricky once they need to actually apply their knowledge. You’ve already seen that when their code breaks, they immediately run back to the chatbot.

These robots work for small specific tasks sometimes, but if you use them you miss out on actually learning the thought processes and miss out on gaining the understanding that will be critical in an actual business environment.

I have colleagues who use ChatGPT for all their code. I often have to fix it. They sometimes take credit for those fixes. It’s annoying, but I know their careers are stuck in a quagmire because they’re not interested any more.

I like to learn, like to fix things, and like to get better at my work. There’s some peace in that for me, at least.

That was them using ChatGPT instead of having their own original thoughts, wasn’t it? That’s what struck me as so weird.

Yeah I can see that, it’s definitely one of those annoying and inane questions.

In this context though, we’re friendly and have known each other for multiple years. We’ve definitely had more pointless conversations, which is why this interaction in particular stood out to me as particularly weird!

The endless AI trends, jesus. Do you remember when the trend was to make the AI generate a picture of somebody as an action figure? The marketing department at work fucking loved that. So tedious.

That’s so strange! Why would somebody bother going to a roleplaying game only to immediately opt out and get a chatbot to do it for them? Unless maybe they’re only there for the combat? Is there combat in Alice is Missing? (I’m picturing essentially DnD)
