That’s what you get by allowing a US site to get a world-wide monopoly…
I’ll just leave this here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/youtube-no-translation
The translated video titles are the worst. You never know the language the video will be on, and YT is always translating to some random language without any evidence you can speak it.
The user is rejecting the autocomplete too often. Add autocomplete on space so that the KPI won’t go down!
Problem is, the only pump that is pre-pay is the one marked “AL-L”…
Well, if they are doing the same jobs you are, then they aren’t reaping any of the benefits.
They should be able to do some jobs that you aren’t prepared for. Personally, I would say anybody not to do one unless they have an specific job in mind… Most people I know that did one while working are quite happy with the result.
Delatibulating
Every translation and dictionary app on my search decided I asked for “deliberating”.
Around here, it’s probably because people are deeply aware of all the problems and unaware of all the gains.
The neighbor’s grass is always greener…
A medieval star!
I run ssh over 443 because every network out there seems to block non-http ports.
marcos@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why can't a liquid move faster than the speed of sound in that medium?17·4 days agoJust to add because nobody mentioned that yet… But you can always push stuff faster than the speed of sound, it will just stop being a liquid, and probably explode, but there’s no law saying the material can’t go faster.
Not many societies developed a system of redistribution. We live in one of the extremely few that have, and it took a lot of smart people a lot of time (and infighting) to get into something that works.
We just need to apply it.

If it’s always in the same orientation, it also can be caused by cold wind. Look at your enclosure ventilation, or try putting an obstacle there if there isn’t an enclosure.
Eh… They have their enemies and their not-enemies.
It just so happens that the largest enemy used that “communist” label to describe themselves, and made a great deal about pushing it into their not-enemies too. It’s not like they were using that word with any real meaning attached.
The annoying thing is, the latter are probably right.
In a transient way, yes. But culture always circles around obstacles eventually.
Well, “hairs” are quantized phenomenon…
So at some finite time, it will be all gone. At least if the thing is happening fast enough for it not to grow back at a similar time-frame.

Well, the newer and more impressive ones, yes. But there are some much older pyramids too.
Is this about Elon Musk?
I have to say, seeing the MAGA getting into arms against each other is funnier than the meme.
