I wouldn’t be surprised if that was a big reason.
That said, the whole porn trope of a clearly-not-teenager dressing up as a “teenager” with pigtails and everything is just…weird. It’s not a turn on for me in the slightest. Even when I was a teenager and came across that, my first thought was “that’s not how girls my age operate”.
