Just forget for a second that this has anything to do with AI specifically: I wonder how it could possibly fall under fair use to grind up hundreds of thousands of pieces of copyrighted content, and then use that data to create software that you then profit from.
The question, as I see it, is if simply mashing all this intellectual property together – and deriving a series of weights for an AI model from that – somehow makes it not theft simply because all the content is smashed into one big pile of pink goo in which no single piece of content is recognizable.
I think republicans don’t care at all what the majority thinks. They understand fully that our Federal system is rigged from top to bottom to give rural landowners disproportional voting power. It’s just insane that someone would get a big chest tattoo, literally in the exact spot that Ed Norton had his giant swastika in American History X, and it would be specifically and famously the symbol of the elite Nazi SS group that ran the death camps, and he’d just be utterly clueless about it for years and years. Well I’ll take any allies we can get. I’m not a communist, but I’m thrilled to see them show up, I’m not a libertarian, but I’m thrilled to see them show up… nor am I a democrat, green, or an anarchist, but I saw them all out together. No one needs to pass a purity test or be thrown out of the movement before it has even begun in earnest.

I’ve always thought it was funny how much of this list is basically like good governance and double-checking things and involving multiple people when decisions are made. You can really read between the lines that the writers believe a strongman CEO type who just does shit is vastly more dangerous than a group of individuals who have to find consensus before acting.
Unless they’ve managed their entire life to avoid any person or piece of media cluing them in that (some) deaf people have a distinctive accent, then the answer to that would pretty obviously be yes.
Well yeah, 10 minutes without water can definitely be lethal under the right circumstances too if you are already only 10 minutes away from dying from dehydration. I’m just saying that lying mostly still in a sunless ravine in autumn in France for 72 hours, while it’s raining, is not peak conditions for quick death from dehydration. And in any case, all I’m really saying is that claiming the guy survived by drinking the wine, meaning he would have otherwise died from dehydration, is not a supoortable conclusion and is just there to make the headline more fun.
