Pre-industrial societies still expected children to work from young ages. And they would often switch to adult labour in their early teens.

Assuming they completely changed their food and product regulations and adapted everything from agricultural and animal husbandry to building codes to match the EU overnight.
Otherwise it’s more of a decades long process.
Even CETA is still not ratified because Canadian ranchers and farmers still insist on using growth hormones and have trouble dealing with European GMO tracking and labelling.

1·11 months agoIf you ignore all the folk tales about people one upping the devil or the local equivalent… everywhere, yes, it’s a uniquely American trait.
You don’t lie, lying will get you into trouble. You just don’t mention it if they don’t ask. And if they don’t ask it’s probably not that important. Most job descriptions are like Christmas wishlists anyway, they will be happy if they get half of it.
Gender is why we need all the different pronouns in the first place.
Yeah, it just went from “God personally came down from the heavens” to “I prayed to a dead nun and my hemorrhoids got better”. By 2100 finding a coin under the sofa will be considered a miracle worthy of canonization.
