True, I think that’s how the world works mostly atm. Even the apps for very basic functions like taxi or delivery etc. are often completely different, e.g., in southeast Asia.

My main criticism is that the buy European movement is again isolationist. Europe is framed as the good/safe harbour (which it isn’t) and the rest of the world is excluded because they are evil (which they aren’t).

Instead, I think Europe would do good building stronger ties around the world, with African countries, India, Indonesia etc., at eye level, instead of excluding them and thereby excluding itself from the party as well.

The two party system is only the issue superficially. Compromises have to be made at different stages. Germany has a multi party system, with the effect that governments have to be formed as coalitions based on compromises. Suddenly the party you voted for because they support renewables starts to support surveillance tech and wants to kick out immigrants. Then they write a coalition agreement that isn’t worth the paper it’s written on, and let themselves be pushed through their 4 years by right wing media.

Two party systems have their issues, but once a party is elected, they can actually do what they said they would do. Now everyone is shocked trump does exactly that

You’re implying here that the poor bosses have to hire men for some reason beyond their control, while they would really like to hire women instead.

The one data point that would support that it’s applicant ratios as I already mentioned. We don’t have that afaict.
