My personal opinion is similar, not because i feel resent or think Brits dont deserve a good deal, but because i think EU should always work in the interest of the EU as a whole and that is having the UK having less exceptions they had before. But i also hope the EU won’t play too hard to get, and work to prevent they delay the breunion decades beyond what it would take if they agree with a part of UKs conditions.
Aside from it being built by tech bros, i actually like this. It could serve a purpose similar to public transport like car sharing (not carpooling) and rental bikes. This would be far from as efficient as regular trains or street cars, but those modes of transports need volume. As soon the population that uses the rail decreases to a point it becomes to expensive to run a train every one or two hours, often the expensive physical infrastructure remains while the service disappears. In those cases i could totally see this being a better option than heavily subsidising or totally removing trains on that section of rail. But to be honest, I can’t imagine there are enough of those places on earth carry the costs to develop this tech, also because these cars are only the best fit if the abandoned line is a single track line.
It worked for China, but I don’t think their position is very similar. I do remember when twitter got blocked there the Brazilian government didn’t chicken out so who knows what will happen. 🌮?

That would be weird, since the graph is about percentages and not absolute numbers. But it would also be weird if there is a ‘hidden’ answer which comes down to ‘i dont know’ or ‘i dont want to answer’.
Could be, but i believe corporate espionage is gets you a lower sentence. But also happens often when they catch a spy they just throw them out without a court case and sentence or if it’s a hostile nation they do sentence them but then try to make a deal or a swap or something so that spy still doesn’t get punished.

One called Russian propaganda group Storm-1516 is using identities of real journalists to target Moldova, Armenia, and France and the other by AP news titled Intelligence officials worry a sabotage campaign blamed on Russia is growing more dangerous which was about a fire at a warehouse in east London storing equipment for Ukraine, plotted by Russian linked to the secret service. They wrote the following: “The fire is one of more than 70 incidents linked to Russia that The Associated Press has documented since Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022”. There are modded bikes that don’t need pedal input to move forward, making them more like scooters and if they then go faster than the people on bikes I can imagine that feeling. But people don’t always realise if they are not in the bike lane, they are either between the pedestrians or between the cars. Their speed might be annoying but that doesn’t mean that the bike lane isn’t the safest place for them too.
In the Netherlands we only have Aldi Nord (didn’t know about Sud before I went to germany), and have visited them less and less over the years. Lidl has been expanding a lot the last 10-15 years and I am becoming more and more a loyalist. Aldi (Nord) to me is really losing the game in my eyes.
I don’t know about manufacturing in Belgium either, but I believe Antwerp is Europe’s biggest roro port (meaning importing and exporting vehicles), might not be a coincidence.
I don’t like buying electronic stuff from the US anymore, although that wasn’t made there anyway, but they are world class. US clothing brands are generally overpriced and not made there either, but it still would give me an illusion of quality. American cars also aren’t made there, but I don’t feel unsafe sitting in one. I don’t disagree with you but US goods still hold perception of high quality for me and many others. But it has decreased over time and my perception of the quality from China is increasing, so maybe I’ll say the same in the (near) future.
Although ironically enough, the bigger it says it’s from China the less likely it will be decent quality.
Yes but I have to disagree with you as well, they are failing very very badly but the failure isn’t in the literal sense completely as there are some places it is providing an answer to these anti-democratic forces. I think the EU response to PiS helped getting them out of office (for a bit) and also Orbán is losing political weight because EU doesn’t let them.
Their effort clearly isn’t bringing enough results, I get your sentiment though but dismissing their succes isn’t helpful either.
I wonder how much of these sales would have gone to tesla if it didn’t have a well know ceo voicing his dodgy political views. I’m not saying Tesla and Volkswagen are similar quality for a similar price, but in the end they are competing for the same customers; it’s obvious Tesla’s decline in sales in because of Musk since it’s basically still the same cars on offer, but how much of these lost sales ended up at Volkswagen is what I’d like to know.
Purchasing WK Kellogg would be privately held Ferrero’s latest effort to expand its footprint in the U.S. Ferrero, a 79-year-old company that owns brands such as Tic Tac and Kinder in North America, has started buying American brands only recently under the aegis of its Chairman Giovanni Ferrero.
Somehow it feels like good news it’s not only US companies buying up EU ones, but also the other way around.
