  • Honestly, I’d try to phase out the inside sheet for her. You’re doing all the right things - taking her out regularly, and after every meal - she’s old enough that she should be able to hold it between outings (nighttime can be tougher). If you don’t have a dog-door, now would be a great time to teach her how to let you know she wants to go out. I taught my dog to ring a bell (like on a hotel or shop counter) when he wants to go out. I started by teaching him to give me his paw, then getting him to do it while the bell was in my hand, I would ring the bell every time I went out the door, would get him to do it and then just let it evolve. It’s been so helpful for him to communicate what he needs. Esp as he’s a bit of a vocal dog - helps to know when he needs out.

The best way in my experience is to get to her outside before she has a chance to go inside. It may mean waking really early or going to bed late so that she can last between trips outside. There might be some accidents while she gets used to it, but for example, if you can take her out first thing in the morning before she wakes up, and then (like you do already) reward her with lots of praise and treats when she goes outside, she’ll get the hang of it pretty quickly. The trick is to to give her so many opportunities that she won’t have an accident inside.

That’s what’s worked for me in the past n

  • People already came and shared their knowledge. My first thought was vitiligo - I don’t want that to be hurtful for anyone who experiences it, I just saw the plane as a living entity and it’s paint was multi-toned and it’s what came to mind. No shade, no judgment. I have three colors: red, white, and peel - so anyone with melanin anywhere is ahead of the curve on me!

  • From my relatively lesser experience I can suggest a couple of easy things to cross off your list.

    • look at first layer thickness, not sure how thick you’re going but thicker material is more likely to stick and stay put.
    • reduce cooling (eg fan speed) in the first couple layers to promote adhesion
    • as others have said, clean your print bed, I’m a fan of isopropyl.
    • increase bed temp by 5°C
    • slow your first layer(s) further.

I am certainly no expert- these would be my first ports of call before I start praying to the google-fu gods.

  • Ohhhh - Homer buys Assassins!

“I’m sorry sir, warranty doesn’t include fire, theft or acts of dog.” It wasn’t til many years later that I realised how freakin genius that line was when I heard it again and had the context of ‘acts of god’ in Ts and Cs.

Santa’s Little Helper was terrible, he destroyed the Bouvier family quilt (amongst other things), and Bart was going to have to give him away unless he could learn to behave. But took him to training and he tried as hard as he could but they just didn’t make any progress. Right at the end of the episode Bart is teary and upset and opining about how his dog couldn’t even learn how to sit and we see from Santa’s little helper’s perspective Bart saying “blah blah blah blah blah SIT “ and he sits. It turns out he finally did learn some manners and he got to stay with his family.

  • Seriously, did he hit on her early in her career and she turned him down or something? This is outright obsession. She must have rejected him in a way so emasculating and demeaning and humiliating, and categorically undeniable with such confidence and self-assurance that he has gone full comic book villain. She’s his origin story. He’s still bullying her so hard I think he still wants her. He’s the high school kid who got rejected by his crush and so he becomes her persecutor. Bullying and ostracising at every opportunity - and with a brain so underdeveloped (demented) there is no sense of self-awareness or self-control. He’s basically at the stage of school shooting.

  • All the more reason why a) They needed that coordinator role filled by someone capable with experience. And b) why the camps should have had their own emergency protocols for the eventuality that a general warning should turn into something emergent.

If there wasn’t something in place it sounds to me like gross incompetence and negligence. These people had a duty of care to children - not having a direct means of communication for an emergency seems inexcusable if they didn’t. I mean what were they going to do for the venomous snake bite or a severe injury, or even a missing person. Heck it’s in Texas right by the border, I’m surprised they didn’t have a plan for a Brown person sighting with an assumed motive of abduction. God, maybe they did - but 27 young girls all armed with semi automatic weapons doesn’t save them from a flood…

Okay this is getting dark, even for me.
