They have different windows than in the US too where you can’t install a window unit easily. It’s super fucked. I’m from a very warm place and life there wouldn’t work without ACs I don’t know how the fuck people did it 100 years ago, but living in Europe it’s weird how backwards people can be.
That definitely happened

burgerchurgarr@lemmus.orgtoHacker News@lemmy.bestiver.se•The Death of Partying in the USA and Why It MattersEnglish7·8 days agoWhat I miss is the lack of just hanging out… because everyone’s always super busy so we can’t just catch up and do nothing, it has to be efficient. Or also just seeing parties and thinking about going but then everyone else somehow just stopped because clubs became so crazy expensive.
And then the whole housing situation also doesn’t really make it any better. What I saw is that formerly interesting places with an amazing variety of alternative subcultures have grown into terribly sterile, corporate places, most of the USA feels like that to me (although admittedly I haven’t spent much time there) and e.g. London and Amsterdam feel the same.

That’s a big beautiful piss jug, the old man would be proud.

Like with a yacht, no need to walk, that’s for losers

Love you all and would love to have a huge ass truck and a shotgun and live the Pißwasser advertisement lifestyle, but it’s really just a square. Sometimes they do markets there from like 6am-9am on a Saturday though which is nice if you hate sleeping. Also there’s probably a McDonald’s. Now you know all our town square secrets
