Everything luxury that the elite get to take part in is at some point reliant on the working class that they despise so much. And if you live in a country where workers have had it relatively good for so long you can’t just take everything away that they have and expect them to still want to work. I’m just saying that these people are so detached from regular every day people that they think if they get rid of all the poor and working class people society will still somehow carry on without them.

While I share your pessimism, I also know that some of these dudes are just scared to lose their job. I’m not saying that they are innocent just that they are in the same boat we all are with our jobs. If I got fired I’d be bankrupt in a month if not less. I’m sure there are plenty of ICE that we don’t see that are freaking the fuck out. The only ones we see in clips online are the ones that will immediately volunteer when asked if they want to go arrest some brown people.

And to reiterate, that does not make these guys innocent. They are complacent and watching this happen without lifting a finger to help. The “just following orders” crowd, if you will.

As someone that has had to double check peoples code before, especially those that don’t comment appropriately, I’d rather just write it all again myself than try and decipher what the fuck they were even doing.

Well, you did actually. You just decided to ignore what everyone was warning you about and call it “fear mongering.” People have been warning you since July of last year and you specifically chose to ignore it.

The same reason every politician and government will never release them, because they are trying to protect themselves or someone else. As long as money and power remain the only things politicians care about this will never get released. And I find it absolutely infuriating that these people will always prioritize reputations over the literal r*ping of children. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of people just blatantly getting away with it because apparently every single elite is in on it.

That gives “dad are you coming to pick me up from baseball practice” vibes.

Would they really get the whole world or just the United States? Like, what do these companies hope to gain by giving in to one country while ignoring the other 150+ in the entire world? Getting rid of DEI for an international company makes no sense. Based on republicans own ideas of what DEI is, how does it even work for countries where white people are not in the majority?

And what the hell would money even do for them if the US goes full fascism? Pretty much all the luxuries that rich people enjoy are built on the backs of regular people doing their jobs.

From what I’ve seen a lot of republicans are super pissed about this whole thing just as much as everyone else. Going to r/conservative on reddit there were like 3 posts today and yesterday demanding the list and saying that they are pissed off. Maybe they just haven’t gotten their marching orders from the propaganda machine yet, who knows. If anything, I’m surprised the mods of that subreddit haven’t deleted those posts yet.

That’s what I do too. I’ve bought it for all my friends or have convinced them to get it. Feels like I’m a drug dealer trying to push it on everyone I know lol.

But at the same time there are plenty of indie devs that sell games for $30 and then have a few $15 DLC on top of that after a few years. Not throwing shade at those other devs, more just saying that the dev for Stardew Valley could have sold DLC and nobody would have questioned it but chose not to. You could be like Stardew Valley and keep the game cheap, free updates, and frequent sales or you could be like Factorio and refuse to ever put your game on sale and up the price every couple of years and come out with a $20 DLC. And I’d be shocked if Stardew Valley has made less money than Factorio in the long run, especially with it being the in number one place right now.

And I’d say that it is 100% deserved. Stardew Valley is a once in a lifetime kind of game and has one of the best developers you could ask for. Free new content and updates for 10 years and it’s still like $20 and frequently on sale. The developer actually tweeted out once that if he ever charged for new content that he’d want everyone to publicly shame him.

“I swear on the honor of my family name, i will never charge money for a DLC or update for as long as I live. Screencap this and shame me if I ever violate this oath.”

Stardew Valley is the gaming industry at its best and one of the best indie games out there.

And that’s how I used to be back in the day and that shit destroys your mental health. And when you do “slip” it’s always worse and more exaggerated because of the repressed feelings. I would think that there was something wrong with me and I hated that part of me. I wished that I was completely straight and would internally shame myself whenever I had “gay thoughts” because I thought it made me less of a man. But at the end of the day, nobody cares about how manly you are except for people that want to feel like they are better than you or people that want something from you.

The amount of “straight but curious” guys I’ve found out in the world is a little too high for that to be the case.

That’s kinda the situation I’m in too. Dating women has always been easier for me so according to everyone that knows me I’m hetero even though I’ve told them that I’m bi. They just can’t see it.

They’ve spent more time and effort going after Mamdani than they did trying to stop the “Big Beautiful Bill.”

But that’s the point that I’m trying to make. It’s probably my fault as I’m not very good at explaining things like this, and I’m not disagreeing with at all. I’m just saying that there is no way to have a machine or method of travel with a fixed point without knowing its relation to other objects. Just like you can’t know the trajectory of the Earth through space without knowing its relation to other objects. What I’m saying is that regardless of your “fixed point” you will have to do the same math, just in a different order depending on your point of reference. We are dealing with relatively here so the only variable that changes is your point of reference while the math stays the same.

But that’s the thing though. How can you determine the Earth as a reference point without knowing how it relates to other objects in space? “Here” is as useful a coordinated system as a fake absolute positioning system. “Here” is just your relation to other objects. If you don’t know what your relation to those objects is you can’t determine where “here” is, or the Earth for that matter. Whether it’s the machine or the person operating it, something or someone has to calculate where the Earth is in order to use it as a reference point.

If you are driving away from your friend at 20 mph, from your perspective they are moving away from you at 20 mph while you are the one that’s stationary. The only thing determining your location, or reference point, is your relation to each other.
