3·2 days agoThanks. I’m not much of a tripod user, I prefer freehand, but this was a fun exercise. I plan on learning focus bracketing at some point, so I’ll need to master using it effectively.

Games@lemmy.world•Day 531 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playingEnglish
10·3 days agoI just played this game for the first time a week ago. I liked it so much I immediately ran through it again as a pacifist. I’m a sucker for a well fleshed out story and world. The quirky humor also landed more often than not and the emotions hit pretty hard. I look forward to playing Deltarune sometime soon.
They are pretty great. It’s so therapeutic watching and photographing them. Something positive in these trying times.
Eurocucks are too funny. They don’t teach y’all about personification?
Nice tongue shot! Does it have a catch? I really like that flying shot with the deer too! Good stuff.
Did you use a polarizing filter?

4·5 days agoSo many killer songs. I feel like Dire Straits is slept on. Don’t get me wrong, they’re definitely well known, but even then.

Thank you. These chickadees are quite used to humans being present. These were taken near a public bird feeder. It’s pretty cool, there are probably 20-30 around at most times and they’ll buzz just a few inches from my head and you can feel their wing flaps. They’ll get within a few inches of me and check me out. they’re quite smart for a tiny bird.
Here are some bonus shots I couldn’t upload earlier.

Interesting. I didn’t think we had mountain chickadees here I’m way over East vs their typical range.

Not pictured here is “soul red crystal,” the best red in the game.
Absolutely gorgeous plant! Apparently Drosera anglica grows naturally a bit North of me, but hasn’t been spotted in a few years. I’d love to find one in the wild.
Some I found this summer.

2·7 days agoOh I bet that was pretty! There’s definitely Indian paintbrush all around this fen, but not on it. When the time of year is right a bunch of fringed gentians pop up there and it’s beautiful.

They increase the distance between the sensor and the lens, which allows you to get closer to the subject than the lens typically allows. This effectively increases the magnification.
