  • Well signatures and phone calls only go so far. When it comes to big, serious, literal life or death issues, petitions just aren’t going to get the job done and it becomes pretty pointless to waste your energy on that particular course of action.

Similarly, it’s pretty shitty to act like action on smaller issues means we’re just ignoring bigger issues. Your concern for Idaho’s treatment of disabled kids isn’t instead of wanting Israel’s genocide to stop or the Ukraine war to end.

  • They say that because when they get more money they can invest it, grow it for later. They ridicule spending it because if you’re able, investment IS the smarter decision, but that assumes all your needs are already met. The Capital class can’t even imagine their needs not being met, only wants that they can afford to wait for.

  • I’m a big fan of the Eruptor as a primary, the Las-58 Talon laser pistol, and usually Incendiary grenades. I tend to favor the light Siege Ready armor, for faster reloads and extra ammo.

The Eruptor is just so strong against every faction. With it’s Heavy Pen there aren’t a lot of things it can’t kill. It makes shortt work of tightly packed groups of chaff, it’ll regularly one shot mediums like Devestators and 'Nid Warriors, and headshots will one shot squid overseers. It’s also surprisingly effective against the Fleshmobs. Initially I’d been bringing the Machinegun support weapon to make up for close range targets, but the Talon has been more than suitable for that task.

  • I’m pretty sure that undermining confidence in drug approvals is a feature, not a bug. The same people who were screeching about mRNA vaccines being secret poison that was rushed through approval are the ones doing this now, so when (not if) it does actually lead to dangerous drugs being approved and a collapse in confidence in the FDA, they’ll be the ones saying “We told you so” and getting their anti-medical way.

It’s the exact same playbook Republicans use in the rest of the government: Say Government doesn’t work, cry about government spending, and insist government regulation is crushing personal freedoms, then they actually do all of those things and when the next administration comes around they pass on the blame and say “I Told You So.”

  • You seem to have missed the point. Whether or not you think that would be an easy job, the whole reason you’d be there is to be the one that takes all the blame when the autopilot kills someone. It will be your name, your face, every single record of your past mistakes getting blasted on the news and in court because Elon’s shitty vanity project finally killed a real child instead of a test dummy. You’ll be the one having to explain to a grieving family just how hard it is to actually pay complete attention every moment of every day, when all you’ve had to do before is just sit there.
