I know it’s nitpicking, but the German one should probably include the Danzig corridor, Alsace-Lorraine, and danish Schleswig. Perhaps South Tyrol and Slovenia too.

I think they referred to the non-existent Chinese navy at the time, not their general ability to wage war. Either China would have been unable to invade the Japanese isles.

I wonder what would happen to a space-faring communist society if it came into contact with a capitalist-like alien society. Would it regress back to socialism upon the reignition of class conflict and national borders ?
