The Saudi, UAE and (to a lesser extent) Egyptian (edit: governments) are all for whatever Israel does. It’s more complicated in other countries because the people are against it but the government isn’t, so you have to be against Israel just enough to please the people but not too much that you displease the government ❤️
What did you mean by the bolded section if not “it’s not complicated in Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Egypt because the people and the government support it”? I don’t mean to be confrontational here, but I don’t see how else that sentence can be interpreted.
Also, it’s funny to even imply that most of those governments are completely sovereign entities who are there due to any kind of organic process, rather than deformed wrecks resulting from massive outside pressure (almost all by the US empire and its allies).
who is kautsky
A German social democrat. The core point of Lenin’s criticism I believe was that Kautsky was de-radicalizing Marxism and trying to make it compatible with bourgeois democracy, to transform it from a revolutionary ideology into bourgeois electoralism. If you’re curious about the details, here’s a link to Lenin’s work that this meme is joking about.
One of my favorite kind of lemmitors on the fediverse is the “how dare you read the things I wrote” kind, where they start backpedaling only after getting massive backlash and then expect people to automatically believe their “clarifications” are sincere.
(paraphrased) Murdering civilians is what Russia does. Why are you suggesting Ukraine do it?
It’s the only thing Russia will understand.
Later: “Noooo, I never said that Ukraine should murder civilians!”

Silence, renegade!
You’re really proving him wrong there. /s
The funny thing about “hate begets more hate” is that the user you’re replying to has a good reason to feel hate, and the racist Americans on the other side of that equation don’t. And yet, between those two groups, whose hate results in millions of people dying through sanctions and warfare?
The problem with the idea of “racism” against Americans, or even hatred against Americans being problematic, is that there’s no power structure behind it that makes it real. You’re essentially policing the tone of victims here and acting like their anger at what was done to them is equivalent to the very real wrongdoing they are reacting to.
Oh yeah, I know it means “the Jews”, I’m just not sure what the Jews are meant to be doing in this context. It’s a very strange context to use this (((dogwhistle))).
chauvanism
BTW it’s “chauvinism”. I don’t mean to be an asshole, I just see this incorrect spelling of this specific word very often. 100% agree with your comment.
You’re talking about the triple parentheses, right? I was also wondering that. If it is a dogwhistle, what does it mean? “The Jews are… ???” Supporting the DPRK???
He was able to keep forcing elections until he won.
He literally did not win the election. As I just told you, he lost the election in 1932 and within a year he had essentially absolute power. Democracy didn’t matter to the nazis, they took power when they were able to practically, after hitler was appointed chancellor by Hindenburg.
You still seem stuck on the idea that winning the German election was important. I’m reminding you again that it took hitler approximately 1 year to go from losing that election in 1932 to consolidating absolute power in 1933 with the Enabling Act.
Yeah, in that case “the vast majority of Americans” are wrong. You’re also overestimating how many people believe in that sham of an electoral system, look at polling on whether America is democratic or look at voter participation rates.
“A better world is not possible, the best we can do is moderate hitler unironically” was NOT on my bingo card for today, but here we are.

Thanks. This type of thing is something I see a lot on the fediverse and it bothers me.
