  • Nice strawman, but no. Funnily enough most people in my irl surrounding argue with me because I stand against Israels cruel attacks on Palestinian civilians and they argue about self-defence and October attacks. And they say the same like that I “think Hamas should just be able to murder Israeli civilians”.

It’s bullshit either way. Just because I think it’s horrible what Israel does and how they attack civilians doesn’t mean I think it’s good that Hamas also does that, and the other way around.

It’s a bit of group think. I noticed in on Reddit and on Lemmy it’s the same. You easily downvote someone if they’re already very low and the statement is not welcome in the current context.

Some of my reddit posts why <-200 are the ones I’m most proud of, e.g. one where I stood against torture and death sentence, even in the context of a child rapist.

Probably many people just thought you were “just asking” to spread doubts instead of… actually wanting to know a source. Don’t think about it too much :)

    Autism in a nutshell

Edit: Although actually not quite. I think you’re weakening your case when you just make false statements like that. And especially with something that gruesome and awful, you shouldn’t do that. You can just… use correct semantics and have a stronger point.
