This guy isn’t just hopelessly out of touch – he’s dangerously motivated to rob Peter to pay Paul. He’s willing to slash budgets and run education, healthcare and more public sectors ragged to pay off the deficit his government amplified, and he doesn’t care that by doing this, he’s severely destroying the power of Ontario’s future economy.

Tell me Dougie, when healthcare workers, education workers, and now workers of all these sectors fed by post-secondary institutions start seeing record vacancies throughout the province, do you care what happens to the rest of us? Because after what we’ve seen, I bet you don’t as long as you get yours.

It’s like getting cross-checked in the back of the neck, hearing that what I pay into CPP is getting used to fund a direct enemy’s ambitions.

I’m directly behind them on this – if it’s taking place in their land, they should be involved in the permit process and selection committee. It’s a reasonable ask, and I hope the courts side with them to set the precedent.

100% agree. Cuba deserves aid, and we should be investigating policy and alternatives that we can use to circumvent the resource war on Cuba to help them.

This is always the way it goes, and it’s repugnant – once you learn that the perpetrator belongs to a marginalized group, you know that hateful individuals will use it as proof to spread their rhetoric and fan the flames.

It takes away from actual discussion of how we ensure this doesn’t happen again, how we best support communities in these times, and how we as a whole can come together to begin healing.

I’m not fully up-to-speed on the pivot to the EV mandate, but wonder if it has to do with economic outlook in the wake of trade scuffles with the U.S.? I do think this is just going to be a test of time to see whether the new strategy for increased EV production and adoption will produce better results than strategies we’ve been following so far.

It would be nice and a step in the right direction if we could get regular publicly available insight into the status of these things, with the caveat of knowing some stuff might need to be redacted for safety concerns (but only where truly critical and necessary).

If we’re going to have these institutions and rely on them to uphold the law, then we need to know we can trust them to do that, and be more in-the-loop so when things go as wrong as this, we can pounce it before it spirals. Trust needs to be earned back.

It makes sense on paper – we need to make every dollar we have count towards building our economy strong enough to resist American economic pressure, and the spaces highlighted are rational partners to pursue for us. I hope that this does show promising returns not just for us, but our new trade partners as we all work to develop new routes of trade.

Me, personally, I have slowly started to shift towards “bones-only” storytelling for my campaign settings – I build a loose plot, some NPCs tied to it, locations and a few bigger encounters. Beyond that, I want my players to not feel railroaded to encourage them to think creatively in each session, as it helps me as a GM enjoy the session more when players aren’t always looking to me to tell them what they should do next. I also usually stockpile a bunch of pre-baked generic encounters, NPCs, shops and such so that I can keep up with their story and choices.

Oh ABSOLUTELY, those are our tax dollars at work, we need to milk the ROI on it now – and taking traffic from the Ambassador Bridge and cashflow from the Moroun family is just the extra high stick to the face we like to see.

Tech amateur here, so pardon my ignorance, but I think we should also be looking not to just cut off Microsoft but also make the painful choice to start migrating to Linux as our primary OS provider.
