Ah that’s on me missing the clue then, apologies. Though in my defense, there are parents that do stuff like this.
Genuine question - why is that deemed a good answer? I’d expect an actual solution for a child to be more apropriate than humiliating an adult later in life. Like the suggestions telling to start singing it yourself, wrongly, seem much more effective and appropriate to me.

Fucking hell I feel validated rn, I had a similar experience at that age but it was in language/reading class. It’s so frustrating to know that you are correct but you lack the terminology/ability to properly convey why you are right.
I think the problem is not preferring manga/comics over regular books, but rather that anon implies, with the whole “not being willing to make a manga or at least a graphic novel”, that normal books are lazy inplementations of literature, which is such a dumb and inconcievable POV that we are justifiebly ridiculing them.
