I think it’s entirely illogical. Likely, they were burned before, and cautious about using anything under one name ever again, even though the circumstances are slightly but substantially different in Proton vs (for example) Google.
If by not using proton you’ll have to switch services less, or it’ll somehow make switching services easier in the future, sure. But I don’t see any reason to believe that
Do you know how many mass resignations have occurred at the NYT, since the invention of the terrorist state of Israel, because of their blatant misrepresentation —and often complete cover-ups— of massacres and crimes against humanity perpetrated by it?
As a tool for manufacturing consent, the NYT is second to none
Unfortunately irrelevant. Sometimes information is dense, it happens. Clickbait is wasting people’s time at best, and intentionally misleading at worst. This headline (for a free article) is neither
Genuinely trying to figure out your issue(s). Sorry about whatever you have going on in there
Are you threatened by the idea of reading? Would you rather titles not exist? Is it the reading or is it the clicking that offends you the most?
Clickbait usually refers to deceitful or misleading headlines. Were you mislead by this headline? How?
It’s all good brother. I appreciate the honesty, wasn’t trying to be dismissive (in the first comment :)) The lmao was at the thought of Apple doing something cool unforced
Huh? Your issue is with the word ‘huge’ over ‘big’? Come on now.
2025 is the year of the M4 ultra.
I honestly thought it was lunacy to release a ‘new’ version every year like they do iphones.
They already blow the competition (AMD, nVidia, Qualcomm) out of the water, if you’re looking at performance/power consumption. It can’t realistically get a ‘huge’ bump unless you’re hoping for a dedicated graphics add-in card (lmao)
Vinegar used to be able to cast (ad-free) until last week. You literally just missed the party. Now it only casts the audio while video continues on your phone (for now, maybe?)
This article has no sources, nor documents. Even the claim being made, that “the President’s National Security team was asked to investigate Russian interference in the US elections” isn’t even condemnable. This literally only exists as propaganda for headline skimmers
I love the “battery life improved” comment because it implies the person never updated their phone before
I’m just surprised (well not really surprised, disappointed) that it took this long to resume reporting on one of the most corrupt countries in the world. It was well known that corruption had reached obscene levels in Ukraine, until they were invaded; Then seemingly everyone forgot.
The person is protected, not the device. While the device is outside of the EU they can brick it. At least that’s how Apple does it
First sensible policy proposition from fascism island since 2016
US (lack of) law applies
