Yeah that would be the logical end game since companies have invested billions into this trend now.

When will we ever get rid of the .95 or.99 in every price… I guess never.
Im amazed it somehow works and the consumer buys more when using this system.

Its presented as the group where you go when you have a problems with someone. Unfortunately HR may see the person complaining as the problem if its in the companys best interest.
I have never went to HR and never will. They tend to have very fake employees in that group as well. People who act like they are friendly but they wont back you up when needed.
As a manager you have a better chance of getting what you want from HR since you are more important to the company.

1984@lemmy.todayOPto Technology@lemmy.world•Adblockers stop publishers serving ads to (or even seeing) 1bn web users - Press GazetteEnglish17·3 days agoThe larger problem that is not discussed so much is the amount of Ai generated garbage that is put on the web now.
When these Ai web crawlers start to read that Ai garbage as source data, the models will start to become worse and worse, and as a result, our Ai clients will start to get worse and worse.
I dont think there is a way for the crawlers to understand what is Ai generated fluff and crap. The reasons the Ai responses are so good now is because people actually posted these solutions on the web. What happens when Ai crap overflows the web so much that good answers are drowned out?
Also, no ads in chat gpt yet. Thats going to change and it will become impossible to block those.

I mean, none of this is getting better. Its only going to become worse. I have ads in the fucking pause screen on my streaming tv app. So if I want to take a toilet break, I get an ad in my face. Its just so ridiculous.

Its also not necessary, you can just leave the secondary dns server blank.
But if you want two because you want high availability in case one of your piholes goes down, you can rsync the settings between the two machines every 5 minutes or so. Its important to keep them in sync that way.

Doesnt have to be. People sometimes are comfortable in their lives and dont want new friends.
Also today social media has fucked people and they think all they need is the phone.
Its only wrong because humans have decided its wrong, when you think about it.
During roman times, it was common with complete orgies. Society makes up these rules as it goes.
Being attracted to other humans is natural and very difficult to resist. I think a lot of this stuff happens all the time.

Unless you also think we should censor the entire web and make it illegal to have any information about things that can hurt people, like knives, guns, stress, partners, cars…
People will not be stopped suiciding because a chat bot doesnt tell them the best way, unfortunately.

But at the same time, since its not MY tech environment, it doesnt affect me so much when it turns so bad that every day is just problems to fix. Then I move on to another job.

Sometimes its very good though and really helps, which is why its so frustrating. You never know if its going to work before you go through the process.
It has changed how me and coworkers work now also. We just talk to chat gpt instead of even trying to look something up in the docs and trying to understand it. Too slow to do that now, it feels like. There is a pressure to solve anything quickly now that chat gpt exists.
Work is just trading your life energy for money because you are forced to. This was fine when it felt like that work paid off. Now, it feels like avoiding work is what actually pays off.
Americans are nuts putting so much value on working for some corp. Some of us may feel thats our purpose here, but how many feels like its pointless and it makes us sad and tired every day.
