Cheddar cheese from California-based Raw Farm identified as ‘likely source’ of infections across multiple states
Cheese from the country’s largest raw milk distributor have been linked to a multistate E coli outbreak.
Raw cheddar cheese from the California-based company Raw Farm has been identified as the “likely source” of several E coli O157:H7 infections in California, Florida and Texas, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), PBS News reported, though no Raw Farm products have tested positive for E coli.
The bacteria strain can cause diarrhea, abdominal cramps and acute kidney failure in rare cases, leading to hospitalization and possibly death.
So far, 7 people have fallen ill between September 2025 and February. The majority of illnesses were in children aged three and younger.

pasturization ruins the flavor. I guess if you can drink ultra pasturized your taste buds are lacking.
i had raw milk once when I visited a farmer who got their daily milk fresh from the tank after the morning milking. I can’t drink even pasturized milk since then. (The girl didn’t work out so that is all I got from the experience).
i don’t drink milk. Fresh milk is good but now that I know the risks I won’t risk it.
That’s because of the cream layer thats on top of raw milk. Pasteurization didn’t cause it, it was removed. Just add a little heavy cream to your milk.
The milk was stirred in the tank so the cream wasn’t on top. I am comparing whole milk so approximately the same cream content.
alternative is death… Im ok with a little less flavour in my salty cow sweat
you do you - I’m not okay with it, so I don’t drink milk at all anymore. I don’t recommend you try the alternative even though I think if you did you would refuse anything else too.
