Children who grew up teaching themselves because nobody had time to teach them often become adults who are extraordinarily competent and quietly resentful that their independence was born from neglect rather than choice

The skills that make you the person everyone relies on might be the same ones that quietly remind you nobody showed up when you needed them to.

Maybe they have a mental problem and other stress factors and it is hard to break the cycle? Maybe they dont mind being fat?
