what happens when the US dollar starts losing value? does industry start being reshored or are the treatlerites just SOL?
Pretty sure it already has started. And the working class is getting crushed under unbearable cost of living.
idk the dollar still goes a lot farther abroad than in the us. i thought COL was more up to high rent prices than the decline of dollar hegemony
The dollar index (value of usd compared to a bunch of other currencies) dropped 10% last year. So regardless of inflation/rising prices in usa you will get 10% less overseas per usd than you would have in 2024. Most of the worlds currencies are losing their value as well because of dependence on the american dollar and economy. The cost of living crisis is happening in most countries around the world.
