I personally hate that people thought it was appropriate to ransack the one conservative community. People complain about the tankies banning people for politics but then the admins go and take over a community for political reasons. As long as they weren’t actively breaking the rules I don’t see why there couldn’t be a conservative community.

It is ok for someone to have different political views. People these days are way to comfortable creating echo chambers that discourage critical thinking.

Honest question. What alternative perspective do you think they could bring that would heighten discourse?

I personally don’t think there is such a thing. Not with modern online conservatives.

I have a million other avenues for listening to conservatives if I want to. I don’t need them here.

I think that is the question we need to answer as humans

Tech among other things has pushed people to be more and more extreme to the point where people are shamed for not being either far left or far right.

Conservative can mean many different things. One can be mostly left with some right leaning beliefs or mostly right with some left leaning beliefs. It isn’t as black and white as the media makes it seem. You should seek out things that make you question your own beliefs.
