It’s worth checking their modlog: https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/modlog?userId=514396
So: zionist:
banned elsewhere for calling themselves a fascist:
Said this:
(in response to this: https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/comment/5458675 , essentially them saying “woke ideology” shouldn’t exist)
They also delete all their old comments, which is likely why you didn’t see that stuff:
https://lem.lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/5222379/4257834
tl;dr? they did describe themselves as an eco-fascist, but they delete their post history to cover it up.
Why are people surprised when they get banned after describing themselves as a fascist?
Joke’s on you: I was only pretending to Sieg Heil. Fuckin’ Schrödinger’s fascist-assed Redditors.
Maybe they think the display of self-awareness balances it out.
saying not wanting to deal with Israel and Palestine sounds alot like not wanting to deal with y’know the peace situation, but that’s probably something they shouldn’t have even commented on if that’s what they meant, also the quote "the nsa, prc and woke ideology kinda feels out of context. also @ada@lemmy.blahaj.zone might know something else.
I spoke to Pewgar about the eco fascist thing. It was old by the time I became aware of it, and was deleted by the user, and no further occurrences had happened in the intervening time. They told me they used the term without understanding the implications of what it meant (ie, they didn’t realise it was literal fascism)
Similarly, the other removed comments are old, with no recent repeats that I have found since then.
In any case, community mods have their own rules for community bans, but as for an instance ban, despite the comments, given their age and lack of repeat occurrences, I don’t believe pewgar is a fascist or a genocide advocate, and so no instance ban was issued.
If there have been repeats of those types of comments since the initial ones were made 2 years ago, I’m not aware of them. If something comes to light that makes me believe pewgar (or anyone else) genuinely supports genocide or fascism, the ban hammer will drop.
