Don’t even get me started on the low-effort BS that Lucas glued that chroma lore together with.
Instead, check out the Radiolab ep on the evolution of rods & cones (title?), and how “blue” is the most recent addition to human vision. It’s widely agreed that “red” was one of the first, and how that ties into early religiosity (ie. blood cults, etc.) is super interesting. 🤓🤘🏼
star wars got a LOT more enjoyable for me when i resolved to ignore “canon” and approach it like SCP instead - if i like it i add it to my headcanon, and if i don’t then i simply ignore it. really re-injects that element of wonder and mystery that lucasfilm has been feverishly working to excise since the 90s.
You should definitely enjoy the Skywalker Paradigm. Give it a look. Compellingly silly stuff, and the citations are hilarious — that also tend to inspire that little bit of curiosity that spawns more questions. 😜
What’s the word for an earworm, but for headcanon, anyway? 🤔🤷🏼♂️
