Historically, the more insidious nature of white nationalism and racial pseudoscience has been its integration into modern journalism and academia. In the modern era, I’d say Bari Weiss’s takeover of CBS is going to do far more damage to the American psyche than Elon Musk’s Wiki-knockoff. He’s hardly the first guy to re-invent Wikipedia - the internet is littered with Conservapedia type failed clones. Meanwhile, Weiss is actively subverting a reliable source of information that specifically feeds into historical records like Wikipedia.

60 Minutes or Face the Nation releasing a selectively edited interview or slanted piece of news coverage is going to do far more to fuck up the western-facing encyclopedia of record than anything Musk can do in his AI-slop dominated infotainment vanity project.

Sort of like how Jack Dorsey continues to dominate live media releases with BlueSky in a way Twitter has lost the ability to do and Truth/Rumble/Telegram never could.
