I must have played a few thousand rounds on my HP Pocket PC in high school. Such a great game for a stylus. That and Bejeweled.
My mom bought a SD Card for her Palm Pilot that had some games on it. There were 4 or 5 of them, but the only ones I remember were this bubble popping game and the OG SimCity. I used to beg my mom as a teen to borrow the thing so I could play games on it.
Eventually she gave it to me when Blackberry released its first phone with a color screen, but I never found a use for it beyond games. I mean, what use is a glorified digital organizer to a 14-year-old?
It was heavy and thick but the most powerful thing I could put into my pocket.
I still preferred Palm OS as it was much easier and faster. Windows CE was powerful but very laggy and messy.
Hey, that’s a Casio E-115! I had one of those. (Or maybe an E-125. They used the same shell.)
It was the last PocketPC/Windows CE machine with the directional pad located in a logical spot before Microsoft demanded every OEM put it in the middle flanked by two buttons on either side.
