I don’t think this would have been a cash business, certainly not the kind that would have involved taking transactions into a bank account. There are lots of ways to hide money, and the mega-rich are well-versed in them.

That said, they’d also have to have been incredibly disciplined not to leave a digital trail anywhere. Flights, Appointments, there would have to have been spreadsheets and documents, unless they were ALL paper…
