Someone wrote:
Fun fact, posting a link to this article got me banned from the Germany subreddit:
welcome to lemmy :)
To which I replied with a recent example of the same contempt for expression in the fedi. Then a moderator of !germany@feddit.org silenced the act of censorship itself in an effort to conceal exposure of fedi shenanigans/abuses. There is no higher contempt for transparency and speech than suppressing exposure of speech suppression.
Mbin is shit when this happens because authors completely lose a copy of their own comment (unlike Lemmy, where you can at least still see your own post which has a red padlock next to it).
I’m working blind here because I cannot see my own comments that were removed. But originally I wrote in !privacy@lemmy.dbzer0.com that German police were stopping people crossing a /schengen/ border to demand they show ID. Mods of !privacy@lemmy.dbzer0.com deleted my post with this reason:
Reason: what?
In this thread someone claims that Lemmy is free from these Reddit shenanigans. Of course I link over to the abuse by mods of !privacy@lemmy.dbzer0.com. And THAT post was deleted by the abusive mods of !germany@feddit.org.
So it’s a chain of moderation shit-shows between a privacy mod who does not understand that 1940s gestappo is actually why we still today have a privacy movement, followed by a mod who censors the act of censorship.

This is difficult to read. So much “this and that” and “he and she” instead of stating what is happening very briefly and the provide sources. Instead you expect people to read the linked posts. Do you hate Germans, KBin or Lemmy? And why does any disagreement with Germans make them Nazis immediately?
Try not to look for hate. Any emotion you think you’ve worked out is probably wrong based on what you’ve said so far and also irrelevant. Focus on the actions. E.g.
Item ④ could be driven by excessive pride for Germany, policing thereof, xenophobia (immigrant hate), or Lemmy, hard to know, but abuse of power is the result nonetheless. If someone wants to test it, I would say make a pro-immigration post in
!germany@feddit.organd also make a post about some Lemmy shortcomings (but relevant to Germany) and see which gets suppressed. The assumption of pride for Germany is unlikely to be accurate. At least name the mod. You started your rant with Germany@feddit.org which makes following your points confusing as you start with some privacy forum. (Which one you mean is not clear to me)
With the recent rise of right-wing populism in the most recent European elections, xenophobia is most likely the culprit of suppression of pro-human-rights posts. Xenophobia is driven by nationalism. I wouldn’t put too much effort into separating the two. They go hand-in-hand.
Look at the modlog. No names. If it matters to you, feel free to ask around and report back. You’re looking in the wrong place for answers. I don’t know which mod lacks respect for human rights or who has the anti-immigrant positioning. Find out which mod hates immigrants and you’ll likely have your answer.
