Right-wing media and right-leaning online show hosts have rallied behind President Donald Trump’s attempts to deploy the National Guard to Chicago and Portland, suggesting the Democrat-run cities are “under siege by antifa” and therefore need “to be liberated” or placed “under martial law.” Some figures have urged stronger responses against protesters, accusing those protesting the National Guard or Immigration and Customs Enforcement of engaging in an “insurrection” and suggesting the use of “lethal force” or "actual ammo" against some protestors.

Right-leaning streamer Asmongold suggested law enforcement “use actual ammo” against some protesters and should “absolutely” shoot on sight: “You’d really be surprised how fast it stops after more than one or two people get shot for being violent”

    They are using this word to invoke the insurrectionist act. They need MAGa fomented enough that they can do it without “political loss.”
