Believe it or not, there is actually a subsect of groypers and incels that are really into forced feminization. Basically, they have gone so far into the misogynistic rabbit hole that they have looped back around to “I’d rather date a dude that I pushed into being fem, because then I don’t need to deal with women.” It’s a kink/power thing, where they get off on the idea of being the masc in the relationship.

But also, the only thing I’ve actually seen about the roommate has been the (almost certainly faked) messages that the FBI released. Like just reading the messages, it sounds like they got a cop to type them out. And given the current administration’s focus on framing transgender people as violent extremists, (combined with Patel’s obvious willingness to go along with whatever Trump wants), I’m hesitant to actually believe those messages.
