I’m willing to admit that cannibalism and eating spoiled food is a little outside of my comfort zone.
Oh shoot, this is one of like 10 comics I’ve read! Characters who are caricatures but still intensely human is a tough thing to pull off this well. Couple that with the anti-establishment narrative, beautiful art, and the fact that it was written by a woman and you have a fairly complete, and novel, story.
