Amazon has hinted at a new Kindle, likely color, but will it be similar to the Colorsoft with pen support, or will the Scribe get some color love?

Was not impressed with it’s Kaleido 3 screen. It looks great at first glance but the sharpness/greyness just does not compare. A monochrome carta 1300 screen is the best for reading, imo.

I think it more comes down to how each company tunes these screens. Amazon’s implementation was poor, not to mentioned suffered from severe banding (here’s hoping they learned their lesson). But I’m currently reviewing a Boox Tab X C for my site, and man oh man is that screen great, and it’s Kaleido. I’d stack it up against Remarkable’s tuned Gallery 3, as it’s faster and the colors are just as good.

Hey yep, that is my site, thanks for taking a look and the kind words. We got a couple of experts on e-readers who love writing about em, including me (I wrote that Tab X C review, just published). Site has no ads, isn’t monetized a lick, just free content created with love. So keep an eye out, we are going to be covering plenty of E Ink content. Next up is a review for the reMarkable Paper Pro Move.
