@gog and others with GOG and VR experience,

is there any guide on how to run VR games purchased on GOG under Linux?

I’m surprised I haven’t found any useful guides to this question through search engines. My best guess is to add the games to Steam as external apps, and try my luck through Steam VR.

Now that I’ve got my VR setup up and running, I plan to get new titles. I’d much rather pay to a Polish company than send my hard-earned money to Trumpistan.

@david_bardos @gog I think you just need a VR runtime running. I.e. running SteamVR or Monado and then launching the game. I’ve run standalone games through both, but some games are broken and won’t work properly. Changing proton versions or SteamVR beta/stable versions can get you there.

Adding the games to Steam and running them through SteamVR usually works. At least it worked for me with Hellblade.

Have you tried Heroic Game Launcher? I checked and did not find anything about it and VR but it might work?

Yeah, Heroic is the way to play GOG games in Linux.

Though I have not tried it in VR, I have no reason to think that would present an issue here.
