Faucets allow you to gain a really small amount of nano FOR FREE to get started, so you can do some test transactions
No wallet? I recommend using Cake Wallet, it’s crossplatform, privacy respecting and open-source

Personally, I cannot recommend CakeWallet. I have used it on both Android and Linux. On Linux, the client was unusable and simply crashed and froze. While the app was usable on Android, it was quite slow and I had trouble performing even basic transactions with Litecoin and Nano (as far as I know, this is a problem with the default configuration of the app).
I currently use the Linux client Nault (I think using a wallet from a browser is stupid) with a recently purchased Ledger. I haven’t checked mobile wallets thoroughly yet. Which one I like also is StackWallet. Is multi-crypto, cross-platform and open-source good wallet but don’t support changing representative which is bad for decentralization.
Only tried on windows and iOS but I’ll make the switch to Linux soon so we will see
But yea it seems less stable on desktop
Thanks for the suggestion!
